Sambal sotong

Somehow I just love eating this brown sotong no matter what people say about it being bad for health. The most important thing is to eat in moderation.

 Ingredients 


1 pre-soaked sotong
1 big onion
You can also add other items like petai, long beans etc




Soak the sotong overnight if possible
It should be completely immersed in the water




Cut the sotong into bite size pieces





Boil the sotong until soft
Drain and put aside




Ingredients for the sambal





Blend the chilli paste





Fry the chilli paste until fragrant then add the onions





Stir until onions are slightly soft





Put in the sotong and stir for another 2 – 3 minutes
Dish up and serve
