Garlic butter prawns

There are so many ways to make prawns and garlic butter prawns is so easy to make and absolutely delicious especially if the prawns are very fresh. I normally serve it as it is so that we can dip the shelled prawns in the buttery gravy.
Ingredients

20 large prawns
However the number of prawns needed will depend on how many people are eating

250g butter
Half a bunch of fresh parsley
4 cloves garlic, chopped
Juice of half a lemon

To prepare the garlic butter:
Remove the stems of the parsley
Peel the garlic
Put all the ingredients into a mortar and start pounding

Pound until it is a paste
Squeeze in the lemon juice

Transfer to a container and leave aside

Now we clean the prawns
Cut off the sharp end of the head

Snip off the legs and a bit of the tail

Start from behind the prawn's head and cut the shell along the prawn's body all the way to the tail

Cut the flesh and remove the intestines which is not pleasant to eat

Rinse and dry the prawns

The prawns are ready for filling with the butter

Open the prawn up like a butterfly

Spread the butter onto the prawns

Make sure to fill it as much as possible

The first batch is ready

Season with ground sea salt

Now the freshly ground pepper

Pop into the oven and grill for 5 minutes
Today’s chef
