Chicken with button mushrooms

Sometimes using canned foods are a convenient and inexpensive way to add variety to your cooking. Canned mushrooms can add a small amount of fiber and other nutrients -- including iron, magnesium and B-complex vitamins -- to your favorite recipes.

Ingredients

½ chicken cut into pieces
1 can button mushrooms
1 piece ginger
Sesame oil





Seasoning
1 tsp dark soy sauce
1 tsp oyster soy sauce
½ tsp sugar



Heat the sesame oil and fry ginger slices





Add the chicken and stir until colour changes





Add seasoning and stir fry until thoroughly mixed





Add the button mushrooms and a little water





Add more water and simmer until chicken is cooked
Dish up and serve with steamed rice or plain congee
